The Wild Washington National Parks Zine

This zine is made up of Washingtons three distinct National Parks: Mount Rainier, Olympic, and the North Cascades. It serves as visual inspiration for a trip that I aspire to take, using the design process as a way to research and map out the journey. Working like a functional field guide and a personal traveler’s journal, while focusing on the unique textures and geological identities of the Pacific Northwest.

The final piece was produced using a two-drum Risograph printer, embracing the organic imperfections and vibrant ink inherent to the medium. I hand-stitched each booklet, to ensuring the physical construction mirrored the handmade feel of a survivalist’s field log.
