The Wild Washington zine is a tactile exploration of the state’s three distinct National Parks: Mount Rainier, Olympic, and the North Cascades. The project serves as a visual inspiration for a trip I aspire to take, using the design process as a way to research and "map out" the journey. Designed as a hybrid between a functional field guide and a personal traveler’s journal, the zine focuses on the unique textures and geological identities of the Pacific Northwest.

The final piece was produced using a two-drum Risograph printer, embracing the organic imperfections and vibrant ink density inherent to the medium. I hand-stitched each booklet, ensuring the physical construction mirrored the rugged, handmade feel of a survivalist’s field log.
